UCO Bank

​

For the record there are 5 FDs and one savings account.

2 of them are in my name 

3 of them are in Mini's name.

And there is a Savings account which is also in Mini's name. 

​

We submitted all the documents they needed to settle the 2 accounts in which I am in the nominee.

​

Hemangini, the clerk  said that we have all the documents necessary but we need the NOC documents 

from all 3 of us and we have to submit them to the new manager. 

We need to actually talk to the new manager to determine whether they actually need the NOC or not. 

Because it doesn't make sense when the nominations are already mentioned. 

​

The NOC has to say that we have no objection if the accounts are settled

as they appear in the computer system.

​

So we have to talk to him first, he has just joined. 

If he does insist on the NOCs then we have to know how to arrange it for Mini, since she is remote. 

And if he insists on Mini's presence then we have to see how to make this work. 

One idea is to ask Mahender in ICSSR to issue a letter to UCO Bank to settle the accounts as they appear.

Gave Hemangini the details of my NRO account into which the funds should be transferred. 

 

Talked to the manager of that branch Rajinder Singh, he says both NOCs are required. 

We have his number for further followup.

And all accounts will be settled together.

Mine and Mini's and those NOCs have to be on 100Rs stamp paper each.

The one in which I am the claimant, Daddy and Mini have to sign.

The one in which Mini is the claimant, I and Daddy have to sign.

 

We will probably take Sunil Sachdeva's help to complete all the legal things. 

Plus Mini needs to be here physically with 2 witnesses with all her ID papers 

to complete the process.

Thats when it will all complete.

All the papers linked to all the accounts are in one folder inside the big brown Almirah.

There's a seperate folder for all UCO bank related docs

After Mini and I came to India in Jan 2020, we went to UCO bank twice. 

The first time, Mini and Daddy met Sumit Khatri, and he told them that they 

need all of Mini's contact information, they need two witnesses

and the cheque book, passbook and debit card. 

​

Also talked to Ravinder Singh on the phone and he said that they dont need the NOC, 

they only need to submit the claim form with the IDs and the required docs. 

We would the cheque book, debit card and after sometime we found the passbooks also

for the savings account (ending in 627) for which Mini is the nominee. 

​

Ravinder Singh told us to come to the office on Monday. We went to the office on Monday.

Ravinder Singh was not there but Sumit Khatri was there. He told us we should call and come. 

Although on the weekend we had talked to Ravinder Singh and he had told us to come to the office on Monday anytime after 10:00 am. 

He also said that Ravinder Singh wont be in the office for the next 2 weeks because of an injury

​

Anyway, we gave all the docs related to Mini to him, we also gave him the filled out form for the claim, we filled it out in his presence and we have him the details of the two witnesses whom we had arranged. The two were Deepesh and Abhijeet, the same witnesses who I had used to give my information to them. 

Mini also gave him the original documents of the FDs in which she is the nominee. (for the ones in which I am the nominee, he already has those docs).

That was submitted along with Mini's details, passport, copy of Pan card, mobile number. 

​

He accepted the claim form filled out and the witnesses details and asked for the cheque book, pass book and debit card. We gave him the copy of the cheque book, and the debit card which we had found. 

He told us to bring it all together. 

​

For the passbook, which we didnt have, he told us to fill out an indemnity bond form which required two indemnifiers. And he gave us that form. For the passbook, we came home and looked for it. Eventually we found it. We found a number of older passbooks belonging to that account ( 4 of them in fact). They are not the current ones, but they are associated with the savings account (the one ending in 627)

​

We also reviewed the indemnity form closely and found that we know all the parts. 

We needed 2 indemnifiers and we got Sid Sinha as one. And we asked Sunil Sachdeva to be the 2nd. 

And he has agreed to come tomorrow at 10:00 am to look at the indemnity form and give us his input.

​

However, we are not sure if the indemnity is required or not since we have located the old passbooks now. 

​

So we will call Sumit Khatri in the morning and ask him if the old passbooks which we have found are sufficient and if they are then we can submit it to him without the indemnity. If not, then we have to go to court tomorrow and get it done. The plan also is to call Ravinder in the morning to see if he is actually not coming to the office and not needing an NOC as he had earlier told us and if the process we're following with Sumit Khatri is the right one.

​

We called Sumit Khatri and he told us that even if you have the older passbooks, we still have to do the indemnity bond and we have to submit that.

​

We got the indemnity done with Sunil Sachdeva. Mini was there with me and Sunil Sachdeva when we got the entire paper done on stamp paper of 100 Rs. We got 2 copies of the indemnity bond made.

One of the indemnifiers was Atul Mittal, 

and the other was Manjusree Sasmal (Paritosh Sasmal's wife). We took the filled out indemnity bond and took the indemnity docs to Sunil Khatri after phoning him. 

He did the whole thing, he told the intern there to process the DD for me, and gave me the DD check for my FDs. He made me sign the receipt, I took a picture of the DD check and signed the receipt. 

The receipt had the FD numbers. And it showed the complete number being deposited.

​

We also deposited the cheque books of the savings account, the debit card of the savings account and the older passbooks of the savings account. So these were related to the savings account in which Mini is the nominee. And it will all be closed down together when she goes to complete her claim.

​

We took the DD to HDFC bank and deposited it. 

So this completed my part of the settlement. It was done in the amount of 13,41,387 Rs.

​

Sunil Khatri also told us that he will keep the DD made for Mini. 

She has to come and sign the receipt and take it on the 24th. 

​

So we are waiting for her to come to complete her 3 FDs and 1 savings account.

​

Mini came and on the 24th, we went to UCO Bank as planned. 

Surprisingly, Sumit Khatri really did have Mini's DD ready. He did the work for us.

Mini signed the receipt and took the cheque which was comprised of the total amount of 3 accounts and 1 savings account in the amount of 18,67,025 Rs.

Mini signed all the required paperwork, took the receipt and completed the work, she got the DD.

​

We went to the HDFC bank in Sector 23 and deposited the cheque.

The cheque went through two days later after that strange message which comes but without problems.

Post office 

​

There are 3 FDs and one savings account

​

1 FD (8343127400) has been closed and money withdrawn.

​

2 FD (8343129064) is in my name 2.5 L, which has been resolved

Submitted all documents for claiming this account. 

ID proof, Pan card proof, NRO account statement with bank attestation,

proof of death certificate and claim form.

They accepted it and sent me a letter saying the account has been resolved. 

We took that letter and proof of ID back to them. They made out a check the next day.

​

3rd FD (8343138561) is without a nominee according to the computer records. It is 5 L.

​

According to Rastogi, they would like to look through their paper records 
to see if a nominee is found for that.

The main person (Jagdish) who has the paper records will be back on June 3. 

He did look through the records and didn't find the nominations in the paper records. There were different account numbers when the FDs were opened using paper records.

But this account has two passbooks (old and new). The old passbook does have a nomination.

They used that to update the computer records. 

And then I submitted the same exact documents to them for claiming the account which 

I did for the earlier FD.

Rastogi accepted it, and said that within a week a letter will be sent out to me, that all documents are complete.

The letter came in the mail, we took it back to the post office with the

ID documents. This account has been settled, check payment has been made to me. Closed.

​

Savings account (8342969591) is also without a nominee.

7k in that, same thing, comp records dont know any nominee.

Paper records they are going to check. 

The main person (Jagdish) who has the paper records will be back on June 3.

So we have to follow up with them after June 3

Jagdish looked through the paper records and couldn't find the paperwork

associated with the account.

He used the new and old account numbers to look for it, but didnt find it. 

Also we dont have a passbook for this account.

So I think we will have to file a claim for this along with the annexures to claim it. 

Those annexures Rastogi will give us when we go there to finish the claim

for the remaining FD.
Misplaced the annexures. Got them again from the post office. 

Confirmed from the post office that the account can be settled

without a passbook also.

For the annexures, we need to fill out all the 3 annexures on court stamp paper.

And then submit them along with the claim form.

Amount in the account is 9998 Rs.

​

All three annexures have been prepared and signed.

Just need to make sure that the witnesses on the claim form and the annexures match (if needed)

And submit with Minis' ID docs

We went to post office, Mukherji told us to get Daddy's sign instead of mine.

I got Daddy's sign. Then he told us to get a police report for the missing passbook.

We got the Information Report also from online method. Printed it out. 

Went back the next day to submit it (June 25). They accepted all the docs.

Said it will go to Sarojini Nagar post office. And then get ok'ed from there. 

It will take about 10 days. Once its done, they will send us a letter to Bhrigu.

Same as other 2 accounts. 

That letter with an ID, Daddy has to take to the post office to collect the check.

We have Jain's number and Suraj's number.

Daddy went to the post office to check, they said it will take some time. 

It hasn't arrived yet. We are making preparations for Deepesh to collect the letter 

from Bhrigu in Daddy's absence if  the letter comes then. 

Have told Deepesh, also have given him a copy of Daddy's Adhaar, pan card

 and passport self signed in case he needs to take those somewhere to claim 

something on daddy's behalf. 

Also told him about this plan that he might need to do the post office thing for 

us when were not there. The guard at Bhrigu has also been told to give docs 

to Deepesh in our absence.

After going back, Daddy checked with the post office. 

The Bengali guy introduced Daddy to the post office postmaster, a woman. 

She saw the file for Mummy, recognized it, and told Daddy that all the paperwork 

for it is complete. They have received the response from Sarojini Nagar post office. 

They have completed the paperwork.

By Oct 8th, it will be 6 months from the date of expiry,

And they will send the letter to Guru to collect the account. 

After which Daddy will go to the post office to submit that letter

with the IDs to collect the check. Idea is to complete it before leaving HK.

​

Daddy came back from HK, followup on this hasn't happened yet. 

And we haven't received a letter from the PO yet. 

​

We got a call from Mrs. Pushpa Post office person that she is trying to expedite

the settlement of this account. Then we got a call from Ishwar from Dwarka Sector 6

post office who said that he was in Bhrigu to get the signature verification of both 

witnesses. We contacted Ishwar and told him that Mr. Sachdeva can sign. 

But Sushanto Mandal is in Saudi, we dont know when he will be back to sign. 

We had a talk with Sushanto's wife and she said that its not clear yet when he will be back.

Mr. Sachdeva is all set to sign, but we need Mandal. Because according to Ishwar, 

we need the signatures of both witnesses. But at least it is moving. 

The file is with Ishwar in Dwarka Sector 6 office.

Met with Ishwar in the Dwarka Sector 6 post office. 

I signed the letter and talked to Sunil Sachdeva on the phone to sign the documents as witnesses. 

Sunil Sachdeva and Madhu Sachdeva agreed to become witnesses in Sushanto Mondol's absence.

So we got two witnesses and they agreed to sign the document. 

He fixed a time with them on the phone to come to Bhrigu and sign. 

Then he went to Bhrigu, met them and they both signed the document. 

So that part is complete. 

Then a few days later I called Ishwar to see what the next steps are.  

He said that the steps taken by them are complete and the file has been sent back to the VK post office. 

So his part is complete. 

Once it is back in VK, we will have to follow up with the VK post office to see where it stands. 

We tried to call Pushpa and couldn't reach her. Tried to call a few times. 

Will see, we will need to keep trying to finish it, since it looks now that its close to the finish.

Went to the VK Post Office on Sep 10th, found Mrs. Pushpa, asked her about the account. 

She brought out the file, and it had come back from Sarojini Nagar, asking for more signatures.

Daddy signed in several places, and also signed on a new form which she asked us to fill out

which we filled out. She said it will be sent back to Sarojini Nagar back soon, as early as tomorrow.

And the process should be complete by tomorrow.

As far as what was required by the Sarojini Nagar post office, she completed all the points.

The address they have is the Bhrigu address where the communication or letter will be sent.

​

Went to Mrs. Pushpa again and she said the letter will be mailed soon. within the next couple of days. 

That all the processing for it has been completed. I asked her how many days, she said it 

will take a couple of days. And in a couple of days, the letter did come to Bhrigu, via Guru Apts. 

I dont know why they sent it to Guru, but eventually it reached Bhrigu. Collected it from there, 

opened it and read it. It is the final claim letter. We have to take it back to VK to Mrs. Pushpa,

and she will direct the people there to give us the cheque and complete the matter. 

So we are planning to go there this coming Tuesday. Hopefully the matter will be resolved by Tuesday.

Mrs. Pushpa told us to come back in two days. She told us we dont need to bring the cheque book.

Or a filed FIR for the cheque book. She took a letter from us to complete the process which says we were never issued a cheque book for this account. We went back on Thursday and completed the process. Handed her the letter at the counter and got the cheque of about 10 k in the name of Dilip Chandra. 

So finally the entire post office process has been completed. Final account (8342969591) closed.

Oct 29, 2020.

We have decided that once the trust is registered and the bank account

opened, we will deposit this cheque in the trust as an initial deposit amount.

HDFC Bank

​

There's a savings account which in Mini's name

There's an FD which is in Mini's name. 

And there's a recurring deposit in Mini's name which matures on 23rd Feb 2020.

So they recommended that we should close all the accounts after Feb 23rd 
when the RD will mature and merge into the Savings. 
At which time there'll be only 2 accounts to close. 

So this has to be acted upon on Feb 23 or after, 
The person there recommended to us that we should only try to claim these accounts
after Feb 23 

​

Oct 20th 2020 went to HDFC bank, Nelson Mandela road, and followed up with 

Mr. Kapil Kumar, Relationship manager. His number is. 8368651127

He confirmed that the RD has indeed closed and rolled into the Savings account, 

thereby making the 2 accounts remaining. Savings And FD. 

​

The Savings Account for which we have a checkbook is 02731570006882

​

The Savings account is the one with which the check book is linked. And the FD remains. 

The Savings account and the FD both nominations are Mini. 

He has given us a form and asked that Mini has to submit a covering letter, 

fill out the form and in the covering letter she has to mention what should 

be done with the accounts. No NOC will be required since the nomination is already mentioned in both the accounts. Mini will have to sign and submit the papers in person.

​

 I asked Kapil Kumar if Aadhaar will be needed or not for the claimant.

He said it would be good to have it. 

​

So Mini has to come and complete the paperwork in person.

We have got the form for her to fill out from Kapil.

​

When Mini was back in Sept 2021, we went to the HDFC Bank 

the lady manager told us there were two accounts to close. 

One Savings Ac and another FD. 

Savings No. 02731570006882 = 2.50 L

FD No. 50300191378202= 8.50 L

​

She asked Mini to fill out a few forms and also write out a letter. 

We filled out a Claim Form, an A/C Closure form and a covering letter. 

She did that and gave them the details of her account in HDFC bank in

Vasant Vihar. 

​

They released the FD in 5 day and it came into Mini's account almost

immediately. The other account, Savings was linked to a Credit Card, which we 

were supposed to hand in, in order to close it.

We couldn't find the credit card, but we found the account statement of the card in Mummy's email

and it showed that there was nothing owed on the card. 

We also found a debit card which was linked to her card, which 

was also handed back to the bank. 

​

So we handed a copy of that account statement back to the bank. 

And asked them to process the remaining account which was to be 

sent back to Chennai. They did that and the savings account was closed 

and the amount of 2.50 L deposited into Mini's account on the last day 

when she was going back to HK. 

​

So the HDFC Accounts are done ! A total of 11.09 L

They were nominated to Mini and they have been closed. 

And the amounts have been deposited into Mini's account.

Getting the pension account to become a family account and sent to Daddy

​

We went to ICSSR and met Mahender and Ashish Deolia. (the Administrative Officer).

They both were very helpful and Mahender said he will send out the form

along with the required documents to our address. 

We have given him our new address. And today (6th June) Daddy confirmed from Mahender that he has sent all the documents in a courier to the Guru Apt address. 

​

So once we come back from Shimla, we have to collect that, fill it up and give it back to Mahender. 

And he will do the needful to make sure the pension comes to Daddy's account. 

​

He assured us that this was the only step required and that it will be settled. 

​

Met Mahendra, he asked us to fill out the family pension form. We did that.

We gave him pictures, finger impressions, he asked us to open an account in Canara Bank.

We filled out the application form to open the account and submitted it today.

They said they will open the account on Thursday.

Also gave the photos to Mahender. 

So we have to go back on Thursday, get the account number, give it to Mahender. 

And it will be done. The family pension nominee is Daddy.

The account number was created on Thursday. Number given, account opened. 

An initial deposit of 2000 Rs. made into the account.

The account number was provided to Mahender. 

They said the family pension account would be active from the coming month.

So this is done. Only the passbook, the cheque-book and debit card remain.

Went on Saturday and collected the passbook.

Cheque book will come in the mail.

Debit card to be applied for.

Cheque book has been collected. 

Debit card and pin have also been collected. 

Only net-banking remains. 

​

The pension will start to come at the end of July, according to Daddy. 

Thats when Mummy's pension usually comes.

​

Canara Bank, pension has been setup. 

Canara Bank net-banking has been setup. 

So now Canara Bank net-banking and debit card are both set. 

The details of the debit card are in Daddy's phone. 

The details of the net-banking setup are also in Daddy's phone.

Mutual Funds have been found

​

We have found in Mummy's email Mutual Funds in her name which we have

sent to Paritosh for verification. There are 5 mutual funds in a MF package.

Total worth more than 1 Lakh. We have to decide what to do about these.

To call find their status. and see what can be done to claim them.

​

Paritosh has said he will look into it. 

There's no tax liability for the mutual funds. 

We just have to claim them later. 

​

Oct 26. 2021. 

Went to Narain Manzil building, Barakhamba Road. 

Right in front of the Metro station on Barakhamba Road. 

DSP Investment Pvt Ltd office is on the 2nd floor. This office used to be in the 

Gopal Das Bhavan, it has shifted to the Narain Manzil building. 

They said we have to fill out the claim form, the nominee is Sagarika Chandra. 

We will need her PAN card, Adhaar card, Address proof which is the Adhaar card. 

And will also need 2 passport sized pictures. 

Address has to be a wet signature and it has to be deposited as part of the 

docs to be submitted. person as the desk was Varun, number is 47897800.

And the DSP funds have be filled out in the claim form by name and by Folio No.

​

Then went to Ashoka Estate which is on the opposite side of Barakhamba Road. 

Just across the street from Narain Manzil building. On the 5th floor is the 

SBI Mutual Fund office. They also said the same thing. The nominee has to 

fill out the claim form. And submit the KYC documents which include a copy 

of the PAN card, 2 passport sized photos and an address proof. 

Have brought back the claim form and the KYC doc to be filled out. 

And they have to also be deposited and signed in person. And a bank form

has also been given for the nominee's bank account details into which the 

funds will be deposited and that also has to be filled out by the bank, 

there's a section at the bottom of the form where the bank has to validate

the information being given and has to be filled out by an officer in the bank. 

​

So the same process has to be followed here too. 

Next time Mini is in Delhi, we'll have to go to these 2 offices and deposit 

all the forms and info which they require. 

​

Mini was in Delhi during April/May of 2022. May 2022., we went back to 

Narain Manzil Building and deposited the forms for Nomination for DSP.

Includes the bank attestation doc, form filled out for nomination, 

didn't put in a nominee for DSP. They said they will inform in about 10-15 days. 

The bank into which it will go is HDFC bank.

From our side, its done submitted. 

Ashoka Estate next across the road, SBI. Forms again submitted. 

Bank attested form, form filled out for transfer to nominee. 

The bank into which it will go is again is HDFC bank.

This time nominee is Dilip Chandra. 

From our side, it is done, submitted. 

Again 10-15 days in which they will response by text on phone or email. 

And will transfer the amount into the HDFC bank account which is created.

My Adhaar and my Driving License. 

​

We have completed our application form for Adhaar. 

We went to Srinivaspuri to submit the application for my Adhaar. 

They gave me a temporary number for my Adhaar. 

​

Then it came to my email and I got the update using my temporary number. 

Got the confirmation. 

Then the Adhaar came in the email.

Then it was printed out and the remaining process is to cut out the piece of

the card and then paste it onto a laminate card. 

So the Adhaar part is complete. Paid 3000 Rs for it. 

​

For the Driving license, we contacted Amit's contact and went to RTO. 

They took the photo, verified the ID, took the signature and completed the process. 

The initial mistake in the form was rectified. then the form was sent back to the office. 

The office saw the form and ok'ed it. 

The remaining information was filled out on site. 

The onsite information was verified and once the photo was taken, it was put in the form 

for completion. All of it was completed in about 2 hours and then they gave a receipt. 

And they gave an alert on my phone about the completion of the process and 

learners license number.  

​

Now just have to wait for the actual learner's license to arrive. 

Then after a month the actual license will arrive. 

​

To update the new address in my Adhaar we went back to SrinivasPuri 

to submit the new address from Daddy's updated Adhaar address.

I took Daddy's new address Adhaar to the shop along with my Adhaar with the old address.

They redid my retina, fingerprints and retyped the new address in my Adhaar. 

Got the new enrollment number. 

Followed up the enrollment number online on the UADAI gov website. 

And got my E-Adhaar with the new address. Took a copy of it. 

The actual glossy Adhaar with the new address still has to come. 

It should come to the new address. But my Adhaar with the updated address 

has come in the form of an E-Adhaar. 

​

So now I have the E-Adhaar with the updated address. 

And the temp driving license. 

​

We went for the first driving test near the park in Dwarka. 

Went through the test all ok, reverse parked between cones without 

touching them. Then forgot to give indicator when coming out but eventually 

gave that too. They failed me saying the back tire touched the curb as I was reversing. 

​

Went for the 2nd driving test near the Delhi Apt flat in the driving test range, 

newly built. Did the "reverse S". Then went through the "8" on the range 

while giving the correct indicator signals all the way. Passed the test.

Barely withing the time limit. Got the indication that passed. 

My actual license arrived a couple of weeks later. 

Still has the Bhrigu address but the actual license did arrive. 

So now I have an Indian driving license.

Daddy's Adhaar address change. 

​

We found that in order to get the address changed in the electric company, gas company 

and bank accounts we have to get the address changed in the Adhaar. 

​

We went back to the same contact through Amit and he agreed to change Daddy's

Adhaar for a fee, Rs. 4000. We asked them to come to our house to do the fingerprinting. 

And to take the retina scan and the photo and fingerprints. 

They brought the equipment and did the work. It took about 30 minutes. 

The photo was taken in our flat and the fingerprinting was also done in our flat. 

​

Then they left, the next day they sent a message to Daddy's phone that the process is complete. 

And he should receive his Adhaar in the email in a few days. 

We will follow the same process, print out the Adhaar with the new address. 

It will have the same Adhaar number as earlier. 

Once the Adhaar comes with the new address, I will take his copy and take it to the bank, 

the electric company and the gas company to change the address. 

Adhaar with the new address for Daddy has come. It has been used 

to update his HDFC, Canara, PNB and SBI Bank account addresses. 

​

The HDFC , Canara, PNB and SBI bank accounts all have his new address. 

We have opened a new account in Indus-Ind Bank for Daddy with the 

new updated address in order to automate the payment for the Indus-Ind bank

credit card payment. The account has been opened with the new address

in Sept 2021.

​

Automation process

​

The Indus-Ind credit card, which is the only credit card is linked to the Air-tel 

Accounts, all 3 of them. The cellular network, the DSL and the landline. 

The 3 accounts are linked to the Visa Credit Card Indus Ind Bank. 

​

We are trying to setup Auto Debit from a bank account for the credit card. 

The bank account is SBI because thats the account which is funded by the pension.

​

Went to the Indus-Ind Bank in Sector 22, and the customer service rep said that 

we have to go to SBI Zamrudpur in order to make the link. We went there to do that, 

in addition to ordering a new cheque book. The cheque book order went through. 

For the Auto Debit they told us that the NACH form which I was giving to them was to come from 

Indus-Ind bank, so I had to go back to Indus-Ind bank in sector 22. 

By that time, I got the SBI cheque book, so I took a copy of a voided cheque to them.

And took the form back to Indus-Ind Bank. They told me the same thing, they said that I would have to

open an account in Indus-ind bank and then it would be possible to automate the payment from that account to the credit card account.

I explained to them that I would have to fund that account also using SBI Yono, which I dont want to do. 

I want the payment to be automated so that we dont have to remember to pay it.

But the Customer Rep Bhavna told me she will try to make it work somehow to make the link directly from the SBI account. And she will get back to me, I have her card.

She did indicate though that it will work easier if I open an account in Indus-Ind bank.

The BSES Rajdhani electric bill automation seems to have been activated through the HDFC Netbanking feature, which is a part of the Netbanking site. I added IGL gas connection and electric bill to the auto pay feature and activated it. We got a message from BSES after 2 rounds of billing that the next payment deduction will be automated. So looks like Auto pay in HDFC Net-banking is working. The same thing might happen with the gas bill also. (2 rounds and then it activates).

BSES Rajdhani has been activated and it's auto pay is now working through the 

HDFC Bank account Auto Pay.

The IGL payment auto pay has also been setup using HDFC Netbanking. 

​

If this works then at least the gas and electric bills will not have to be paid ever going forward. 

They will be paid auto paid from the HDFC account. Only thing is to keep the HDFC account funded. 

since there is no source of input into the account. 

​

So we went back to IndusInd Bank in Sector 22 and opened an account for Daddy, with 

an initial deposit amount of Rs. 20,000.

And then we directed the Ghaziabad tenants to redirect their rent into the new 

account, which also worked. Their rent has started coming into the new account, 

the IndusInd account. 

And then we activated the IndusInd debit card which came with the account. 

the pin is the usual 4 digit number. And we used it to activate the netbanking. 

And inside the netbanking, we added the credit card to the banking. 

And we activated the automated payment recurring which is auto pay. 

So the credit card is now auto pay linked to the new IndusInd bank account.

IndusInd Bank Locker setup

Oct 28, 2021. 

We went to IndusInd Bank in Sector 22.

And applied for Locker No. 32. 

 

It's on the 1st floor and easy to access, height wise. 

The rent is 15k. per annum. 

And it will be paid through the account which was recently opened. 

They have charged the 15k amount from the new IndusInd bank account. 

We need to make an online transfer to bring the running total of the 

account above 20k again. The rent from Ghaziabad which comes in on the 18th of each month 

will come in and prop up the account.

The actual locker was broken so they had to call someone from Godrej to open it. 

And fix it so they will call us back, when its ready for us to take the 

key and try it on on the fixed locker.

​

The customer service people said that we should open an FD or 

some kind of investment plan for a minimum amount of 1 Lakh, 

which will allow them to give us a discount on the locker rent. 

We intend to do that on the next visit to the bank branch. 

That investment amount will be made through a cheque from SBI account. 

​

So on the next visit to the bank branch, we will be able to do the 

finance plan and setup the investment plan, which should give us a 

discount on the locker rent annual amount. And we will be able to 

operate the locker with the key which they have given us.

The customer service person will call us and let us know which date 

it will be ready for us to come and test.

Payment for the DishTV

​

This is not automated but its done through the phone. 

We go into PhonePe in Daddy's phone and then from the Home page, 

click on DTH icon. It opens a page where the existing DTH payment is setup.

with a default amount entered in there, usually 499 Rs. We click on that 

payment setup, click continue with that amount and complete the 

payment through PhonePe, using the password for payment.

Payment to Amit

​

Using PhonePe on Daddy's phone, we pay Amit (his name is Amit Borda in

the phone). Enter the amount and complete the payment using the password.

Payment to society, maintenance. 

​

Right now this is done from HDFC Netbanking. 

They send us a paper invoice with how much is due. 

We pay that amount using HDFC Netbanking, take a screen shot of the 

successful payment and store that screen shot.

Payment to Lalita 

​

Right now it is done through a cheque. 

She didn't have a smart phone. Bought her a smart phone. 

Her number is 78279 41486, its a Jio number.

​

She has an account in Andhra Bank. 

Aim is to link that account with the phone. 

So that the phone can be used to receive the payments 

like Amit's PhonePe.

Changing the nomination on the PNB locker. 742

​

I went to PNB and talked to the rep who is in charge of

changing the nominations on the locker. 

​

They said the person who owns the locker has to come there physically. 

And fill out a form and put some details of the new nominees of the locker. 

​

I asked for the form and she wouldn't give it to me.

She said Daddy would have to come physically. 

I asked them that he is elderly and I would like to take the form back to him 

and have him fill it out. But they insisted that he come. 

​

So he has gone back today to fill out the form himself.

​

They told him we need to give a copy of the death certificate, which he didn't

have with him. And gave him a copy of the form to fill out and give back,

along with a copy of the death certificate.

And they told him that he only has to come and fill out the form and submit it. 

And that for the nominees, no other information is required other than their

basic information.

Net-banking, Adhaar and other Address Change and Automation Debit

Net-banking 

​

Net-banking is enabled for SBI Yono, although it is not working currently. 

Net-banking on SBI Yono works not just for login but also for transfer of funds. 

The login is working, but the transfer of funds has stopped working. 

It used to work before. 

​

Net-banking is also enabled for Canara Bank, the user id and password have 

been provided for login.

​

Net-banking is also enabled for HDFC Bank, the login username and password

are working. And third party transfer is also working. 

We submitted the paperwork for the 3rd party transfer to work on Daddy's

HDFC account. And that paperwork has come through and the 3rd party

transfer is enabled. HDFC Net-banking third party transfer is working.

​

Netbanking and Debit card are not enabled for PNB.

​

Adhaar and Utility and other Address changes 

​

I applied for Adhaar with Amit's contact and got the Adhaar in the email.

Adhaar address change has been applied for for Daddy. 

They came to the flat and took the fingerprints and the picture also. 

They have taken it and given a confirmation that Adhaar will be updated in a few days. 

Daddy's Adhaar address change has taken place. 

His Adhaar card now has the new address.

BSES Rajdhani address has also been updated to the new address 

in the electric bill. 

 

And IGL Gas company address has also been updated to the new address 

in the gas bill. We went to the R K Puram office of IGL to submit the form 

for address change. They asked for some documents which we subsequently 

submitted and the address change happened. They called Daddy to confirm 

that the address change has taken place.

Automation Auto Debit

  

Auto Debit is being attempted for SBI to Indus-Ind Bank credit card. 

Bhavna at Indus-Ind Bank Sector 22 has said she will try. 

That will make Air-tel connections automated since they are connected to the 

Indus-Ind bank credit card. And automating the connection between

SBI and Indus-Ind will make all the downstream connections automated.

The other automation is the IGL connection to the SBI bank, for which the 

form is filled out. It has to be submitted to R.K. Puram sometime.

​

My Debit card connected to the NRO and NRE account

​

My debit card connected to my NRO account has been given to me by

the bank. Its a new debit card issued by them.

​

The debit card connected to the NRE account they said they will call me

once it comes to the branch and then I can come pick it up.

The debit card linked to the NRE account has been delivered. 

​

Both the debit cards have been tested and they both work.

Same pin for both.

​

Mummy's phone re-activated with a new number 

and that number linked to my 2 accounts. 

​

Went to get activate Mummy's phone with Vodafone. 

They couldn't give me her number. But they gave me a similar number. 

It's 9711337631. The Phone was activated. It's payment is activated through

Auto pay in HDFC Netbanking. It gets automatically deducted from my

NRO account. Its working. 

​

So both my HDFC accounts have got the updated address 

and the updated phone number. 

Funds are transferred from overseas to NRE using TransferWise.

Have also figured out how to move funds from NRE to NRO using HDFC Netbanking. 

There's a feature in the menu on the left which allows you to move 

funds within your own accounts using Netbanking.
